The Hive Southeast Asia launched in 2021 and is led by Syed Haizam Jamalullail and Shahril Ibrahim, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Hive Southeast Asia is a partnership between The Hive (USA), Tuas Capital Partners, Sunway Group, and Penjana Kapital to co-create, fund, and launch startups in Malaysia and/ or Southeast Asia based on specific themes focused on applications and use cases in functional areas of enterprises.

The Hive Southeast Asia is one of the selected Venture Capital fund managers for the Malaysia Government’s Penjana Economic Stimulus Recovery Plan – Dana Penjana Nasional; an RM600 million investment fund set up by the Government of Malaysia for venture capital firms to invest in start-ups. This amount will be matched on a 1:1 basis in a private/public partnership.
